Head Geezer

Skip McGrath is an eBay Gold PowerSeller and registered eBay Trading Assistant and has been selling full-time on eBay since 1999. Skip, and his wife Karen, started selling books, antiques and collectibles on eBay and later expanded to house and garden wares and photographic equipment. Karen quit her job to do eBay full time in 2000 and Skip left an executive position with a Fortune 100 company to concentrate on eBay full time in 2004.

Skip is a contributing editor to eBay Radio with Uncle Griff and has been featured on Entrepreneur Radio on several occasions.  He has also been interviewed extensively and featured in stories about eBay in Newsweek, the Seattle Times, Washington Post, and Entrepreneur magazine and appeared on several TV interview shows including Good Morning America, Fox News and San Francisco ABC's PM Magazine.

Skip attends eBay's annual convention and trade show, eBay Live, where he has been a featured speaker and appeared on numerous panels.

Richard has years of experience in both the high tech industry and selling online. He is especially an expert on Craigslist and well known in the field of importing and exporting -a field that he will soon be bringing to the Official Geezer Guide readers.

Richard Geasey is a long time veteran of the high technology business. With 25 years of business development and marketing experience in networking and data storage with premier companies such as Western Digital and Seagate Technology he has seen the PC computer marketplace grow from almost its inception. Recently he worked for the Australian Trade Commission by assisting Australian companies develop technology businesses in the Pacific Northwest. There he gained valuable experience in assisting small companies in all aspects of developing and running an online business. Steve Lindhorst

Steve is the Official Geezer Guide resident expert on Selling on Amazon and eBay. In his years as an eBay University instructor Steve taught hundreds of seniors the ins and outs of selling on eBay and has worked extensively with seniors showing them how to sell on Amazon.

Steve Lindhorst grew up in the small town of Eau Claire, Michigan. He has since lived in New York City, and currently resides in California.

After the computer ended his 15-year career as a printer. Steve wandered a while trying to decide what to do next. He took a one-day temp job at eBay in March, 2000 and after three months, became a "regular" employee and worked as such for about two years.

Steve's work with eBay shifted when he was contracted to teach eBay University on the national level. This was an exclusive group of six other instructors that traveled the U.S. teaching people how to sell on eBay. Eventually Steve was also asked to be the sole outside instructor for eBay University's Motors division, teaching auto dealers all across the country how they could sell on eBay Motors.

As eBay changes have occurred, Steve has shifted to a more generalized consulting role for online sellers. He says, "I have always related to small sellers the most. I'm a small seller myself, and I get great pleasure out of helping them get their start in ecommerce."

Many eBay sellers have moved over to selling on "the river." This was a phrase used by many eBay sellers on the discussion boards to discuss Amazon, without actually using Amazon's name. A lot of eBay sellers choose to sell on both platforms, as some items sell better on eBay, and others do better on Amazon.
